It's holiday season for everyone but for me it's also the start of WEDDING SEASON. Okay, really I don't have multiple weddings to attend. However, I do have the second most important wedding ever to attend. In other words, my little sister is getting married. She's having an INDIAN wedding. Have you ever been to one? If not, it's an EXPERIENCE!
There are so many events, besides the wedding, that you become more than just a guest when you attend an Indian wedding. You're literally a part of the experience. Here's some sample pictures to help you get the idea.
Mendhi/Henna: The designs on my hand symbolize various blessings, luck, joy, and love!
PS: Can you find my H's initials on my hands?

Wedding Dress - Not me, but you get the idea. I had more sparkles. ;)

So you're probably asking yourself what's my point with all of this (if you're even still reading). I, uh, totally don't fit into any of the outfits I need to wear for the wedding. I could attempt to get another set of new outfits, but um it's not really in the budget for me to make another trip to India. Plus my parents just brought some amazing pieces home! I really want to wear them. I also may try to squeeze myself into the outfits but I really have no desire to look like a stuffed sausage. So I've decided to attempt to get into shape.
It's bad y'all. I hadn't worn a jacket of mine in a month and I went to put it on today....and I found chocolate chips in the pocket. Sigh. So help me. What are you favorite cookbooks for healthy eating? How can I make this change? I hate it but I truly crave chocolate/sugar all the time. I've tried to quit cold turkey but it just doesn't work.
Give me your tips!
xoxo,
Shelly
